Hire Terms & Conditions
The person hiring the studio acknowledges that they are hiring and/or using the studio premises for the purpose of dance, movement, fitness, or other physical activities. Any other reasons outside of these please explain when booking.
The hirer and all participants agrees to:
Use the studio’s facilities, equipment, and premises responsibly and safely.
Follow all posted safety rules and staff instructions.
Disclose all participants who will be in the space
Responsible for maintaining a high standard of care, safety, and conduct.
Responsible for leaving the studio in a clean and tidy condition after use.
All rubbish and personal items must be removed from the studio at the end of the hire period.
The hirer is responsible for any damage caused to the studio premises, fixtures, or equipment during the hire period. If the studio is not left in a satisfactory condition, a cleaning fee will be charged in accordance to the hirer.
The studio reserves the right to refuse, cancel, or terminate a booking at its discretion if:
The information provided is found to be false, misleading, or incomplete; or
the proposed use of the studio is deemed unsafe, unsuitable, or inconsistent with the studio’s policies or intended purpose.
In such cases, the studio will issue a full refund of any fees paid, and this shall constitute the studio’s entire liability in respect of the cancelled booking.
Booking and Cancellation Policy
Bookings close two hours prior to the hire time and therefore, won’t be shown on the booking system. You can only make changes to your booking up to 24 hours before the hire which can be done through your confirmation email, if you need assistance with rebooking, please contact us directly no later than 48 hours after the class. Bookings are non-transferable to another person and may not be re-sold. If the hire is cancelled by us, you will be contacted directly to rearrange. Please note, we do not offer refunds and changes to your hire can only be done up to 24 hours before your booked slot.
For any long term timetabled hires (consecutive weekly useage for longer than a month), the hirer must provide a minimum of two months’ written notice with full payment to terminate all future bookings agreed with mode movement.
Media Usage Rights and Permission
Should a hirer wish to use footage shot at mode movement for other promotional purposes, whether that be photography or videography, prior written agreement from mode movement is required before anything is made public. Failure to comply will result in mode movement requesting the content be deleted and/or removed immediately.
Amendments to Terms and Conditions
mode movement reserves the right to change these terms and conditions at any time for the benefit of the business, staff, or participants.

Studio Access & Key Safety Instructions
Accessing the Key Box
The key pad is located to the left of the main doors.
Pull the black lever down on the lock box to open it.
Enter the PIN code (this will be emailed to you by mode movement).
Using the Keys
The keys inside include a smaller key for the shutter, which can be opened using the key pad to the left of the
door. The shutter may not be down.The main door key, which is the bigger key, unlocks both the top and bottom locks of the main door.
If the door feels stiff when unlocking, gently wiggle, push, or pull the door while turning the key.
Key Security Procedure
Once the door is open, please return the keys to the lock box immediately and close it securely.
When leaving the studio, repeat the same process:
Unlock the box, take the keys out, lock up the studio, and return the keys to the lock box before you go.
You will only be asked to put the shutter down if needed.
Important Reminder
Never leave the keys unattended or remove them from the premises.
Ensure the lock box is fully closed and secured after each use.
Fire Alarm Procedure (Control Panel Operation)
If the fire alarm is triggered, follow these steps:
Immediately instruct all students, staff, and visitors to evacuate the studio.
Leave all personal belongings behind.
Do not stop to collect bags, coats, or valuables.
If the fire alarm is triggered and it is confirmed safe to silence (e.g., after a false alarm or fire drill), follow these steps to operate the fire
alarm control panel:
Insert and turn the red key on the fire alarm panel 90° anticlockwise (to the left).
Press the red “silence/resound sounders” button to silence the alarm sounders.
Press the green “control panel reset” button on the control panel to reset the system.
Turn the red key back to its original position (clockwise) and do not remove.
Important Notes:
Please contact mode movement immediately if the fire alarm has gone off.
If there are any signs of smoke, fire, or uncertainty, evacuate immediately and call 999 (Fire & Rescue Service).
A fire extinguisher is located to the right of the main studio door — use only if it is safe to do so and you have been trained in its operation.
Never silence or reset the panel until the area has been checked and confirmed safe.
Electrical and Lighting Safety Procedures
To ensure the safety of all studio users and the proper operation of our equipment, please follow these guidelines when using the lights, speakers, fans and other electrical items in the studio.
Lighting
The main light switch for the overhead lights is located to the right as you walk in, behind the curtain.
Use only the wall switch to turn the main studio lights on or off.
Do not climb or reach up to touch, adjust, or switch on the studio headlights.
The moveable tripod lights may be turned on via their plug switches only.
Do not move or reposition the tripod lights; they are to remain in their set locations at all times.
Speakers
The speaker can be connected through aux or bluetooth. When connecting via Bluetooth, select “SRSV500” from your device’s Bluetooth list.
Do not move or unplug the speaker or any connected cables.
Fans
The fans can be plugged in and switched on as needed.
Take care when adjusting or repositioning them to avoid tripping hazards or cable strain.
Ensure fans are facing safely and securely in the direction required.
Before Leaving the Studio
Turn off all equipment — lights, fans, speakers, and any other electrical items.
Ensure all wall switches and plugs are off before locking up.
Double-check that no equipment has been moved from its original position.
Health & Safety
At mode movement, the health, safety, and wellbeing of all studio users are our top priority. Please familiarise yourself with the following procedures and expectations to ensure a safe environment for everyone.
First Aid & Injury Response
The First Aid Kit is located on the wall to the left as you enter the studio.
Please check the kit location upon your first visit so you are familiar with where it is kept.
In the event of a minor injury, use the first aid kit as appropriate and record the incident with mode movement.
For serious injuries or emergencies, immediately:
Call 999 for emergency services.
Inform mode movement as soon as it is safe to do so.
Do not attempt to move an injured person unless necessary for safety (e.g., in case of fire).
Accident & Incident Reporting
All accidents or injuries must be reported to mode movement immediately, no matter how small.
A brief written record may be requested for health and safety monitoring.
If any equipment or part of the studio appears unsafe, stop using it and contact mode movement straight away.
Personal Safety & Warm-Up
Always begin sessions with an appropriate warm-up and end with a cool-down to prevent injury.
Wear suitable clothing and footwear for your activity.
Remove jewellery and ensure long hair is tied back when dancing or moving.
Stay hydrated. Bring your own water bottle (no glass, please).
If you feel unwell or dizzy, stop immediately.
Studio Environment Safety
Keep all walkways clear — do not leave bags, shoes, or cables on the floor where they may cause a trip hazard.
Check the floor area before each session for any spills, debris, or uneven surfaces,
Report any lighting, flooring, leaks or ventilation issues promptly to mode movement.
Be aware of your spatial surroundings when moving or performing, avoid overcrowding and collisions.
Hygiene & Cleanliness
Please maintain a high standard of hygiene for everyone’s comfort and safety.
Wipe up any spills immediately to prevent slips and falls — toilet paper is available in the bathroom for this purpose.
Do not attend the studio if you are unwell or contagious (e.g., cold, flu, stomach bug).
Emergency Preparedness
Familiarise yourself with the location of fire exits, fire extinguishers, and assembly point.
Keep all exit routes unobstructed at all times.
Know the location of the emergency red pull cord in the bathroom (for accessible assistance).
Stay calm and follow the fire evacuation procedure if the alarm sounds.
Liability Disclaimer
While every effort is made to maintain a safe environment, mode movement is not liable for any personal injury, loss, or damage or theft to personal property that occurs on the premises.
All users of the studio are responsible for their own safety and wellbeing and are expected to act responsibly and follow all safety guidelines at all times.
Participation in any activity within the studio is done at your own risk.

Bathroom Safety & Use Guidelines
The bathroom is unisex and fully accessible for individuals with disabilities.
Upon entry, the main light switch is located on the right-hand wall.
In case of an emergency, pull the red emergency cord.
To reset after use, press the red triangle reset button.
There is a general waste bin and a sanitary bin available.
Please use the provided bags (located above the toilet) when disposing of sanitary products.
Sanitary products, sprays, and hand sanitiser are available for use.
After using any of these items, please return them neatly to the storage box as you found them.
Do not flush anything other than toilet paper. This includes wipes, sanitary products, or any other items.
If you notice any issues with the toilet, sink, or other bathroom facilities, please contact mode movement immediately.
Additional Studio Guidelines
Do not touch or lean on the mirrors at any time.
If any damage occurs in the studio or facilities, notify mode movement immediately.
If any liquids are spilled, please use the toilet paper located in the bathroom to help clean up and inform mode movement as soon as possible.
The shoe and coat storage area is available for all to use. Please keep this area tidy and ensure all personal belongings are removed when you leave.
Closing Procedures
Access: Entry to the studio is permitted only during your allocated hire time. Please ensure the space is secure when you arrive and before you leave.
Lights: Switch off all lights before leaving the premises, including the bathroom light (located on the right-hand wall.
Wires & Equipment: Keep all electrical wires and cables neatly arranged and out of walkways to prevent tripping hazards. Do not unplug or rewire any studio equipment.
Speaker Use: Use the provided speaker system responsibly. Ensure the volume is at a safe level and all connections are disconnected properly after use.
Fire Alarm Procedure: In case of a fire alarm, evacuate the building immediately using the nearest exit. Do not stop to collect belongings. Once outside, assemble safely away from the building and contact mode movement to report the incident.
Bathroom Use: The bathroom is unisex and accessible. Use the emergency red pull cord if needed and reset using the red triangle button. Dispose of waste correctly using the provided general and sanitary bins. Do not flush anything except toilet paper. Contact mode movement if any bathroom issues arise.
