Liability Waiver
By booking onto a class, I understand and agree that:
1. Participating in any dance class or physical activity carries with it a risk of physical injury. I understand that these risks may arise from my own child's actions or inactions and/or the actions or inactions of other participants. I voluntarily agree, therefore, to assume all risks and responsibility for any such injury or accident, which might occur to my child during any mode movement class or activity;
2. I exempt, release, and indemnify mode movement, its owners, agents, volunteers, assistants, employees, guest artists, faculty members, and/or students from any and all liability claims, demands, or causes of action whatsoever arising from acts or omissions committed by my child which result in any damage to property, loss, or injury which may arise out of or in connection with my participation in classes or activities conducted by mode movement;
3. I further hereby voluntarily agree to waive my child's rights and assigns to hold mode movement, its owners, agents, volunteers, assistants, employees, guest artists, faculty members, and/or students liable for such damage, loss, or injury;
4. my child is aware of their physical limitations and agrees not to exceed them. I confirm that my child is physically fit and able to participate safely in the class or activity I am booking them on to;
5. I declare that I give permission to mode movement to capture photography and/or videography of my child. I will notify mode movement prior to my child's participation in class or any other activity. if I decline consent. mode movement is not liable for any images or recordings made or shared by members of the public;
6. that I have read and understood the content of this waiver and agree to be bound by it; and
7. I am at least eighteen (18) years of age and am fully competent to consent on behalf of my child to the terms contained in this waiver.
By continuing with the booking, I am confirming that I have read and understood the above, and freely and voluntarily agree to be bound by the terms of this waiver.
Please note, that due to potential allergies, we kindly ask that your child does not bring any food containing nuts. Please provide your child with sufficient amount of water for the duration of their class.
Booking Policy:
Bookings close two hours prior to the class and therefore, won’t be shown on the booking system. You can only make changes to your booking up to 24 hours before the class (four hours for mode members) which can be done through your confirmation email, if you need assistance with rebooking your class, please contact us directly no later than 48 hours after the class. Bookings are non-transferable to another person and may not be re-sold. If a class is cancelled by us, you will be contacted directly to rearrange. Please note, only credit notes are given to use towards another class, we don’t offer refunds.
Safeguarding:
At mode movement, the safety and well-being of all participants is our top priority. We are committed to providing a safe and supportive environment where everyone can enjoy dance, movement activities and creative sessions free from harm.
This policy applies to all staff including freelance and temporary staff working on behalf of mode movement.
1. Commitment to Safeguarding: We have a duty of care to protect all participants from abuse, neglect, and exploitation, regardless of age, disability, gender, racial heritage, religious belief, sexual orientation, or identity.
2. Reporting Concerns: All suspicions and allegations of abuse will be taken seriously and responded to swiftly and appropriately. Any concerns about the welfare of a participant should be reported immediately to Kitty Denton, owner of mode movement. All reports will be handled sensitively and confidentially, following appropriate safeguarding procedures.
3. Code of Conduct: We expect all staff, volunteers, participants, and visitors to act in a respectful and professional manner. Bullying, harassment, or inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated.
4. Safe Environment: We ensure that our facilities and practices meet health and safety standards, and risk assessments are regularly conducted to maintain a secure environment for all. All staff, volunteers, and instructors are required to hold a valid DBS when working with children to ensure they understand their responsibilities. All staff, volunteers, and instructors are required to have valid public liability insurance.
This policy is reviewed annually to ensure it remains effective and up to date.
mode student:
mode student is a one-off payment providing four classes for the price of three. mode student can be used on any classes shown on the booking page, excluding workshops. Bookings can be changed up to four hours before the class. Expires after two months. Your student discount is only valid after sending a copy of your student ID to hello@modemovement.co.uk which is noted on your confirmation email.
